Not only is Suki Waterhouse gorgeous, with a covetable sense of style, but she’s bagged Hollywood hearthrob Bardley Cooper as her man! But where has she come from? And is she the new Cara Delevingne? Cosmo investigates…
Suki Waterhouse is one lucky lady. The 20-year-old model has been spotted in Boston with the gorgeous Bradley Cooper amidst rumours he’s invited her to hang out with him while filming his new movie. The couple (too soon?) first met at the ELLE Style Awards in February of this year, and seem to have hit it off, despite the 18-year age difference.
But who is she? If you’re in-the-fashion-know, she’ll already be on your radar as a top model and London gal-about-town.
Suki Alice Waterhouse was born in London and is described as a model, photographer, and actress. Oh - she’s one of those girls. Suki was scouted aged 16 and dropped out of school to pursue modelling. Here’s some other Suki snippets…
Is she the next Cara Delevingne?
Apparently so. Suki is signed with NEXT Model Management, and was revealed as the new face of Coast’s V&A Ballgowns collection this week. She has also modelled for high street retailer TK Maxx, as well as Marks & Spencer lingerie. Uh-oh, you’ve got competition, Cara!
She’s got style!
Suki Waterhouse is continuously getting it right in the style department. She’s not a red carpet regular but when she does make a rare appearance, you stop and take notice! Her style nods to the 60s with matching co-ordinates, kooky ensembles, white tights and a mix of high street with designer, she’s one edgy lady. As a vintage fan, she’s often spotted in Rellik picking up a bargain.
It’s not who you know…
Suki’s phonebook must be bursting with celeb contacts – she’s good mates with Cara Delevingne after all! Does that mean she’s got Rita Ora, Alexa Chung and RiRi on speed dial? Suki is also BFFs with Georgia Jagger who she met playing netball when she was 11.
Great taste in men
Well, 38-year old Bradley is one hot specimen of a man, but let’s hope he’s not just a rebound relationship. Suki recently broke up with her boyfriend Miles Kane of Last Shadow Puppets. And before HIM she dated Kooks frontman, Luke Pritchard. Not bad for a girl in her early twenties. What?
As a self-confessed tomboy growing up, she used to practise karate, now she loves kick-boxing. Take that as an official warning Mr Cooper. Kapow!
Model good looks
Suki is stunning - in a 60s sex kitten sort of way - mixed with the edginess of Alexa Chung and the classic beauty of Brigitte Bardot. Let’s put it this way, we certainly see what Brad sees in her.
Suki could teach Brad a few things, after all she’s been in a film herself! Suki appeared in the remake of 1996 cult classic Pusher, alongside Agyness Deyn. She played the girlfriend of a drug-pusher – yikes.
Suki’s brother, Charlie Waterhouse has his own clothing line called ChWoody (created with a schoolfriend during a break in running club when they had a brainwave about T-shirt design. They’re maje cool so check them out here).
OK, we get it! She’s amazing, what’s next?
Suki, along with fellow model Imogen Morris Clarke, is set to appear in an upcoming photography exhibition, hosted by her agency, Next Models. The exhibition, titled I’ll Be Your Mirror will explore the model’s relationship with the camera. Set to open at the Eb and Flow Gallery in London on 17th April and it will show several of the agency’s model talent take control of how they’re perceived. The showcase will be curated by artist Stuart Semple.
Plus, Suki was once quoted as saying her dream modelling job would be to land a Burberry campaign alongside her BFF Cara Delevingne. We reckon your wish might come true, Suki…
“Love new Ganni gear!”

“British model Suki Waterhouse is a loyal customer of Frockdrop and has bought many items from their online store, such as this beautiful Antonio Berardi coat dress (featured in Vogue.com ’Today I’m Wearing’).”
“Oh how we love to shop and last night we got to do just that in trendy East London where frockdrop.com hosted a party to celebrate the opening of it’s first pop up shop. Run by Sharon Ozbek you can get some amazing vintage designer pieces for a fraction of their original price. We know!
From New York to London to Milan and LA Sharon sources her clothing from all around the world and stocks amazing finds from Chanel to Burberry and Prada. We practically fell in love with a pair of gorgeous Fendi mary-janes last night. Sharon first started out selling everything on ebay but will soon launch her very own website.
Whilst at the party we got chatting to Suki Waterhouse, the ‘unofficial’ (and gorgeous) face of the brand. She said, ‘Number one I love Frockdrop because it’s owned by one of my best friend’s Mums. I always go round to her house and we have massive trying on sessions which is always fun. They have the dream backlog of vintage clothing.’
Suki went on to describe her shopping style which is not dissimilar to our own, ‘I like to dedicate a day to have an intense sort through, I’m like an animal hunting.’ On her first ever vintage buy she said, ‘The first thing I ever bought with any money I ever made was a Sonia Rykiel long black jacket. I wore it so much that it’s now not actually a jacket anymore it’s in pieces I’ve got them in a bag like four different pieces.’ We’re a dab hand with a needle and thread if you want us to help you put it back together Suki!
If you want to go and check out thewares you better be quick, the pop up is only open for a week and is full of AMAZING bargains. Head to 68 Scalter Street, E16HR.”

“British model Suki Waterhouse shows Grazia her wardrobe and her must have looks for Spring. Taking inspiration from the swinging 60’s, Suki wears a yellow dress with daisy ankle boots and a metallic blue leather coat with polka dot blue flares and accessorises both outfits with a pair of snakeskin wrapped Linda Farrow Luxe sunglasses.
