“It’s official. We are all totally, totally, Great Gatsby crazy. Last night we attended an amazing themed party at the Criterion in Picadilly before popping over to the fabulous Haymarket cinema for a special screening of the film itself hosted by Warner Brothers and Tiffany & Co. The film fans of you will know
The lovely Suki Waterhouse was also there in a Kate Spade coat and towering heels, she told us, ‘If I wear heels they have to be platforms, thinner heels just end up hurting my feet too much.’ We know what you mean Suki!”

Not Just Pretty Faces: Meet The New Breed Of Model-Artist Hybrids
By Natalie Hughes
Suki WaterhouseSuki’s sixties style and model looks have caught the attention of the fashion press of late (as well as a certain Hollywood actor…), but there’s more to this London-born beauty than meets the eye. In Next Models’ exhibition last month, she debuted her collection of diaristic photographs. Her photos are a mix of self-portraits and shots of stylish pals — you might recognise the gap-toothed beauty licking an ice cream as Georgia May Jagger. Is your photography set up or is it very much spontaneous?“There is spontaneity in the way I come across things I want to shoot but I will always set up the camera — sometimes I will balance the camera on a door knob or on top of two stacked chairs. It’s a mixture of both.”Do you take your camera wherever you go?“No, not at all — I should though!”Your work is so personal; what are the pros and cons of portraying yourself as the subject?“I can control the way I look and the feeling of the image. I always have myself around so I don’t have to rely on anyone else being there to shoot. I guess a con would be the fear of putting yourself out there for judgement but I try not to think about that.”Images: Courtesy of Next Models and Suki Waterhouse

Suki Waterhouse for French Connection new campaign collection for the high street store’s ‘White Lies’ high summer 2013 line.

Suki Waterhouse Strikes A Pose For French Connection

By Fiona Raisbeck - Tuesday 23 April 2013

Suki Waterhouse, whose fashion stock is firmly on the rise, has been unveiled as the face of French Connection’s latest summer capsule collection.

The British model, who has recently been making headlines thanks to her budding romance with Hollywood heart-throb Bradley Cooper, stars in the campaign for the high street store’s ‘White Lies’ high summer 2013 line.

As the name suggests, the new 15-piece range is inspired by one of this season’s hottest trends and features only white items – think summer broderie anglaise dresses, denim shorts and occasionwear as well as tailored pieces including shirts, cropped trousers and blazers, with prices starting at £35.

IS SUKI WATERHOUSE THE NEW CARA DELEVINGNE?

With her hair slicked back off her face, strong brows and kohl-lined eyes, Suki strikes a pose wearing key pieces in the collection. In one shot, she sits on a stool with her chin resting on her hand, while in another she’s pictured from the side wearing a statement ruffle detail dress.

The French Connection White Lies collection hits stores nationwide on 29th April but shoppers can pre-order pieces from the range by visiting the French Connection website today.

FRENCH CONNECTION GOES A WHITER SHADE OF PALE

APRIL 23RD, 2013

For our first Brand Buzz, we swing the spotlight onto White Lies, the Suki Waterhouse-modelled capsule collection from French Connection.
Say hello to Brand Buzz, the new column that’ll regularly bring you news of the latest, greatest collaborations, collections and products from our favourite brands (and a few new ones, to boot). First up: White Lies, the new capsule line from French Connection.

Summer. The word alone is enough to make us smile. Sure, this week’s good weather might evaporate in a fog of dreary rain any minute, but that isn’t stopping us from savouring the idea that blue skies and bright days are here to stay. Purity. Calm. A mojito in one hand, sandals in the other and a wardrobe full of whites. We feel good already.
Ranging from well-made basics like the perfect cotton shirt to on-trend pieces like a sheer ruffle dress,French Connection‘s 15-strong collection has got most bases covered, from girly broderie anglaise to sleek, minimal androgyny. There’s also a campaign video, if you want to see the collection (and Suki Waterhouse) in action. Pieces hit stores on 29th April.
